Teacher of Latin Required from September 2016
We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Latin, with a passion for Classics and the ability to deliver creative and inspirational lessons.
You will be working with the department in fostering a love of languages both inside and outside the classroom. Your excellent subject knowledge and interest in developing your skills as a classroom practitioner will help drive the department forward.
You can expect to teach Latin from Year 5 to Year 8 and, depending on qualifications and interest, may be involved in the teaching of French. You will also contribute to the wider pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.
The position would suit either an experienced teacher or someone early in their teaching career (statutory induction and/or a mentoring scheme would be provided).
St Hugh’s is a co-educational prep school of 320 pupils aged 3 to 13 years. Located near the market town of Faringdon, the school benefits from modern facilities set in 40 acres of Oxfordshire countryside.
The deadline for applications is 8th March.
